2025년 2월 28일부터 4월 20일까지 일민미술관이 개최한 임민욱 개인전 《하이퍼 옐로우》의 도록입니다. 특유의 공감각적 상상력과 내러티브로 공동체의 (불)가능성을 탐구하고 때로는 현실을 초과하려 시도한 ‘하이퍼 옐로우’의 연구 결과를 담았습니다. 작가 노트와 미술관 학예실의 글, 백지숙의 글, 우카이 사토시와 나눈 대담을 수록했습니다. 불과 물의 이미지가 층층이 연결되었던 전시의 구성을 따라, 그래픽과 텍스트를 교차 배치하고 표지와 내지에 각각 두 가지 지류를 사용해 제작했습니다.

This catalogue is published in conjunction with Minouk Lim’s solo exhibition Hyper Yellow, held at Ilmin Museum of Art from February 28 to April 20, 2025. Drawing on the artist’s distinctive synesthetic imagination and narrative approach, it brings together research developed through Lim’s eponymous project, Hyper Yellow, which explores the (im)possibility of community and attempts to extend beyond reality. The catalogue includes: an artist statement, texts by the curatorial department of Ilmin Museum of Art and Beck Jee-sook, and a conversation between Minouk Lim and Satoshi Ukai. Tracing the exhibition’s composition, it interweaves graphic elements and text, using two different types of paper for the cover and the inner pages respectively.
